Ive tried that - when I say the fault isn't there - what I mean is the auto brake works - i.e disengages the car - however as soon as soon as the fault shows the auto handbrake feature stops working. Its like the car is on catch up with the fault. I have a cup of tea in hand which is always a good thing ..I will try your suggestion again though. Car drives without any issues (apart from the automatic handbrake is not working). Handbrake works manually perfectly well. Start the car and get the following three warnings on the console screen: "Handbrake Faulty"" ESP/ASR System Faulty", and " Depollution System Faulty" I then have the following codes come up:
