Common sense would say that they/their algo thinks you are gone for good and this review is a “is this the real owner or what” kind of check. That would assume that they're using some form of analytics to track user/account behavior, coupled with data points such as payment source history, etc.

GW2 came out 7 years after GW1 and it felt like instead of targeting a slightly older demographic they straight up went down 7 years. GW2 story is a Disney movie with a joke/minute quota.
